Yep. That's me, my lady. In my speed to prove myself I forget that I need to understand. That is surely the given to pave the path. Set-backs are a sure fire favor from heaven(SAESAE). I always look to the sky and say Thank You, because I know something better is yet to come.

Hard to think that when we feel alone. This article is great advice. Your strength is being able to pull us all together!

Just like with the characters we write, it's the flaws and failures of people that get others behind you. It makes us all more human when we can admit we don't know what to do, or that we're tapped out and need backup, or that things didn't turn out the way we want.

I said to someone just the other day that set-backs are usually favors from heaven in the long run.

All you can do is your best. Fill the well, writers, and keep writing as best you can. We've all got your back!

I am a believer in the phrase "strength in numbers". I think that if you share the experiences through rough times, you can find rise above the obstacles that come in your way. Not only that, but it helps to talk to other people who have 'been there, done that' and could potentially offer some great advise that could help your situation.

Cindy,

What a great point regarding why we don't talk about the bad times. I am so glad that this was useful to you, I really am.

I'm also glad that you are able to be working on your homework for your meeting and plan to go! We all have setbacks and I can't think of anything stopping *you* from getting where you want to go. I hope it is sooner vs later for you as well, keep me posted and I will keep positive vibes running your way!

XoXo
Amy

Hmmm, now that some food for thought. Rough idea to swallow because who wants to admit failure. I actually agree, but only because a couple weeks ago I read a blog by Jason Myers (tweeted by @dkrobbins) who talked about not wanting to go to his writers meeting. I felt the same way. Depressed and having not done my homework, much less written anything in almost 2 months, I felt like bailing on the group for the 2nd time this year.

His blog helped me do 2 things: (1) realize I was not alone and (2) write a blog myself on the same issue.

Am I back to writing? No. Am I doing my homework for tomorrow's meeting? Yes. Am I going to tomorrow's meeting? Yes. Am I still fighting depression, stress, and "real" life? You betcha. But now I know that I am not the only one and leaning on friends (real and virtual) let me get up everyday and try again. Sooner or later I'm gonna turn that corner. Let's just hope it's sooner.
