Getting In The Holiday Spirit!

Happy Holidays! It’s December and I normally have my Xmas tree up and decorations out by now. Since I have been so sick, however, I haven’t had the chance.

Are you celebrating any holidays this month?! Do you love Xmas time or hate it?! I may be an atheist but I still love the season of snow, lights, and giving! It always brings good memories to me. And of course, there is so much more than just Christmas to celebrate! From Hanukkah to Kwanza to many that you may never have heard of! Ugly Sweater Day, Chocolate Covered Everything Day, and Eggnog Day to mention a few of the sillier ones! See a larger list here!

Every year my husband and I pick out an ornament to represent the year and this year we are struggling to find something happy to use.  What are some traditions you enjoy this time of year? I would love to hear from you in the comments section!

I thought I would keep it light and share a favorite Xmas song of mine! I’ve loved this song since the 1980’s! It’s Weird Al singing Christmas At Ground Zero.

I love this time of year…in spite of a more-than-usual negative political atmosphere than usual in 2017, I have also experienced some wonderful new friendships & a deeper bond with so many of my writers & colleagues as well as my family & friends! Saw this in my FB box & have to share this with you & your readers — it’s from Germany…and it proves that joy can come at unexpected times & hopefully, at times when we all — as individuals or as a country — need it! Sending you, dear Amy, & your faithful “clan” the very Happiest Holidays! xoxo kathie
