A Bottle of Wine & Body Image!

I haven’t been able to do a Vlog in a few months because of how dizzy I’ve been. So I thought I would take advantage of one afternoon last week and rectify that situation! I’ve been doing a little experiment with selfies in an attempt to start accepting myself more. Particularly for who I am –even in a full length mirror!! Click below to watch the video and please let me know what you think of my pictures!!

I’m biting my nails just thinking about you seeing them!! Eeee!!!

It helps me if you watch this on YouTube and subscribe to my channel! If you are so inclined

This video was so inspiring! I am so glad you are finding more self-love and acceptance. I know how tough it can be to do that. For me, when I was really struggling with my body image and looking in the mirror I put post-its on my mirror that had positive affirmations on them. I would make sure to read the affirmations every time I looked in the mirror and at times when I was too scared to look at certain parts of my body I would read the positive affirmations and then walk away. This helped me when I felt the urge to engage in negative self-talk with my body and didn’t feel strong enough to fight it in that moment. I found that giving myself self-compassion instead of putting myself down for how I looked at myself in the mirror allowed me to eventually accept myself and learn to love who I was inside and out!

Being with folks who accept you for who you are, having a good therapist, being honest & reasonable with your goals….hmmm??? You are already doing all those things! The most important thing is to continue to believe in yourself & to move ahead. As someone once told me, — Life is not a race, but a journey best taken one step at a time, with lessons learned along the way!
