I’ve Had an Epiphany!

So, as you likely know, I’ve been struggling with my mental illness more since my divorce and move to Utah from Chicago. I’m around a lot of people who don’t really know how to be supportive of me but I can see that they clearly want to. I have also had to change my grounding techniques as well.

To that end I am going to be doing a series of both blog posts and YouTube videos to give quick and detailed information on how do help yourself, or someone else, and more! DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT MENTAL ILLNESS? I am making a list of the topics and want to hear from you! So AMA (ask me anything) about mental health and I will cover it in my new series
MY KIND OF TRAUMA with Amy Laurel

If you have a suggestion, question, or would like to do a guest post on my blog to share your experience just leave a comment below, or hit me up on my contact page, FB Page, or even twitter!

One last thing! I am reworking my website to reflect what I am doing (this will go hand in hand with my novel THE TROUBLE WITH GOODBYE, so don’t worry about that!), so it’s a slight mess. Also, I will be in Bangkok (YAY!!!!) From Monday November 5th until Tuesday November 13th. There will not be any blog posts while I am on vacation/working with my personal coach.

Love to you all! See you in a few weeks!!
xoxo ~Amy Laurel

    Hi Amy,

    I enjoy reading your blog.

I look forward to reading your series on the topic of mental health. I would like to know your thoughts or suggestions for individuals supporting family or friends struggling with a mental illness.

I would also like to know your thoughts on family being actively involved in the mental health treatment plan of a loved one. Should family members meet with or have collaborative sessions with the psychiatrist and/or therapist providing care?

I look forward to your responses.

    Love, peace and happiness

    Lyle

Thanks, Lyle! Those are great questions! I will be addressing the first one early on. The second question I hadn’t thought of and it’s such a good one! Thank you! I will be sure to address these in the near future! xo
